We recommend that you use Python to install all required packages for pytd.pandas_td. You can refer to Python Basic Installation instructions provided by the Google Cloud platform, as well as the following information.
You must download and install Python before creating a development environment. To install Python, you can download from the official site. See also the official documentation for Windows, macOS, and Unix. This step-by-step tutorial is also helpful.
Before installing Python packages, create a virtual environment in a terminal. Refer to the following sample code. Execute the following from a command window on a machine from which you use TD and the TD Toolbelt. Create a directory specifically for the project. This project uses Python 3.
python3 -m venv .venv
py command, which is a Python launcher, to choose between multiple Python versions.
cd <your-project> py -3 -m venv .venv
We recommend naming the environment name starting with
.venv so that digdag can ignore those directories.
After creating the virtual environment, activate the environment.
For macOS and Linux:
$ source .venv/bin/activate
After activating the environment, you can install pytd using the pip command as follows:
(.venv)$ pip install pytd
You must also install Jupyter and related packages:
(.venv)$ pip install jupyter notebook matplotlib seaborn
